Yup...I'll never get rid of my egnater rebel combo and it's killer tube tone.

But...

You should check out some of the blind listening tests done by intheblues on YouTube. The Mustang has consistently beat out amps costing much more...all tube.

It's just like with the Kemp. Even the players who didn't want to believe it could match or beat their boutiques and swore they'd be able to hear the difference...couldn't. :-)

Oh it's more than good enough.  And I'll probably get a full range cab to play it live out of.  But right now it's wired up in the B suite (my music production room) and for what (very) few gigs I might play out the little Mustang will be perfect.  It does (loud) Fender uber clean amazingly well and since it's (like the Kemp) got all the standard stomps and mods built in, I'll be able to program up 5 or 6 usable presets for gigging and have a nice, light, self-contained amp to take to any job I might have.  Plus, it will stay at home as a practice amp...headphones, natch.  Tuner...check.  USB...check.  It's even got an input for your ipod or whatever so you can play along with your favorite tunes.  For right at $300 semolians it's hard to beat.  Check one out.

I was just kidding of course. I'm still a bit jealous of your Kemper. I would love to have one, or a Axefx2 hooked up into Sonar, but I'm very happy with Amplitube. I have almost bought a Mustang III a couple of times for exactly what you got one for.

Still no IKObi? I wonder if he is still working for IK? IF not, hopefully he found a more trustworthy company to work with that will treat him right. He was one of the good guys...

I have had no issues with them that questions their trustworthiness. They don't seem to have a clue how to set/meet a release date, but otherwise I think they are a good company.

I guess it just depends on how you define 'trustworthy' and 'good company'. Personally I find their Hype questionable at times, the charging of fee's to re-download sound files that you have already paid for, and the many other little things that makes me not really trust them. The company seems to be less Customer oriented than I care to deal with. YMMV.

Welp...Obi or not, after what little sleuthing I did on the ol interweb, it looks like my answer is likely to be NO.  Which I hope Obi can explain why to me.  All the fender amp graphics in their Fuse software editor are pretty much identical to the ones in my Amp3 Fender collection.  I'm betting that Fender is just licensing IK's models...which are very good.

Am I right Obi, ol pal??

Which has nothing to do with ST3 :-)

I just picked up a new Fender Mustang III V.2 amp (killer diller) and noticed that, apparently, some AT3 Fender models are included as a separate add on. Does this mean it might be possible, either now or shortly, to use all my IK Fender collection stuff in the Mustang??

Inquiring minds want to know.

I have an MIIIv2 and love it but it is not possible to add amp models to it.  The IK Fender sim is just an added on goodie.

No. Our Fender gear models are not loaded into the Fender Mustang in any way. The Mustang doubles as an audio interface when connected to a computer, which can run our AmpliTube Fender and other AmpliTube titles like any audio interface would be able to.

Gotcha.  That's a shame though...that would be killer diller.
