If only there were a group of Einsteins here.

More like The Three Stooges (with Shemp thrown in for good measure).

Um, Einstein and all six of the "Three" Stooges are dead Ed... Maybe what that forum really needs are people with a pulse?

Actually, I'm not sure Einstein was all that adept at music production...
(Though he did love the key of E.)

No, I just want to read a group of Einsteins argue about what "=" REALLY means.

Now I do wish there was a place that I could send some cuts, get the technical recording aspects reviewed and advice about issues and how to proceed...but the songs forum isn't that. Wish it were.

Not for free, but Danny Danzi provides that service at discounted rates for SONAR forum members.

I provide that service for free. I always give an honest critique and advice. Of course, my view isn't 1980s centric like some people's are. Of course I don't have a 900 lb rack of Rocktronic gear either.

It is what it is people come and people go.  As some wise person herein noted most of us are probably not "qualified", whatever that may be in this context.

I do not consider myself qualified, though I know what my ears like.

I will admit to being cautious with my replies because thats the way I am.  If I listen to something and it does nothing for me I normally leave it without comment.  If I liked a song but do not think I can add anything constructive I will comment that I liked it.  If I can say something and be constructive then I will say my two pence.  But I will not be deconstructive, nasty etc because I can hide behind internet anonymity.

Thats Wookiees perspective, after all what a piece of music sounds like is subjective so many factors can effect how it sounds.  I use my ears if they tell me they like it or they can hear something a bit off they always tell me.
