I've been logging studio time while "snowed in" for decades. I never lie, 3 inches in the city puts a 3 foot drift square in the driveway out here, but...they farmed this land a couple hundred years before I came along, getting things to grow here has never been a problem, in fact, keeping weeds out the driveway costs me tens of hours a year, soooo...if I really really want out, I can just drive in the yard. Flat grass doesn't bother the jeep at all.
This season I've been snowed in twice...for real. Solid week back in January, five foot drifts, neighbor came over with his plow ( he has a large excavating firm) and couldn't move it. His front loader/backhoe starts and runs hard below zero, but using both ends, he finally opened me a canyon to the road.
Second time, nearly a week, jeep was stuck in a two foot windslab, snow sort of turns to glued sand after the wind moves and drops it. I just let it melt out that time.
Point being...long as you stocked up on food, tequila and smokes, LET IT FLIPPIN SNOW!
:-)
