I hereby will my post count to Beagle to give Bapu another target to shoot for.

I'm off to try and re-install everything on my PC from scratch (adding a new SSD drive, then some virtual machines).  I just finished archiving data for three days so here I go!  I see the cliff and I'm running off it hoping I can fly...

R.I.P craigb (ITHRN).  I'm so sad to see you go.  I didn't even know you were sick--on second thought, I did know you were sick, but that's unrelated.

hey craig -I feel your pain-tasks like that are way beyond me which is why I settled for the "Turnkey" option-Stealth Audio does all that for me with a 24hr turnaround, dependant on couriers only-suffice to say that in the last 3 years I have had absolutely no glitches, dropouts or any problems whatsoever and haven`t had to use the service.
ps:just an observation, but,to me,Sonar and the like encourage you to be a jack of all trades and occasionally require you to be a tech head as well.
it`s a bit like being the mechanic and the race driver as well and the only successful analogy that comes to my mind is Sir Jack Brabbham in the 50`s and he,apparently, was not that fond of driving.

Well, I'd say it's been "a few hours" and he certainly has not been back yet. So... shouldn't someone be contacting the next-of-beagle or something?

Do not get emotionally involved with your DAW.
they do not use the same reason as us.(unless they frequently upgrade)
I hear S1 is way more sympathetic.

you have been warned.

I see no Reason for the grim Reaper to take my SONAR to Mr. Harrison's Studio Juan to Cue (da) Base and declare it a Pro Tool, using Froot Loops Logic.

Yea, though I be in limbo, my spirit has taken over the aging body of my old boot disk and reanimated it long enough to get a post fix in.  I can't stand fixing computers, I just want to use them!  I'm getting closer to being able to use the new disk and OS.  Still some bugs to step on and then I get to start creating virtual machines.

For years (nay, decades!), I've always dragged 99% of the crap I had on an older PC or OS drive onto the new one (which is why I created a 10 GB mail file today from a bunch of smaller ones and archived it).  THIS TIME I'm going to try starting slim and see how things work.  We'll see...  It sounds liberating, I just hope I can still find that one thing in the future that I'm going to need but it's no longer on the PC!
