Hi,
I have lost a midi file and perhaps my mind...lol
I assume that when I upgraded from X1 to Platinum the midi files for Steven Slate had changed some.
My motherboard died about the time I was using this file and all I was able to save was a short piece of the .wav.
I think this all happened when I was using Sonar X1 Producer....perhaps it could have been in 8.5 but I don't thinks so.

Can I reinstall X1 Producer and look for the file? I have the original disk.

Thanks,

Billy

If you have the hard drive that the project was created on, you can access it using hard drive adapter that can be plugged into your new machine via usb. You can get one at Microcenter or New egg and they are inexpensive. It's a pretty easy process and you'll be able to browse to your old project files. That is if your on a new machine. If it's the same machine and you replaced the mobo, the project should be on the hard drive. Platinum shouldn't have a problem opening projects from X1 or even 8.5.

I don't think it will be a good idea to install Sonar X1 Producer on the same computer that you have a newer version of Sonar installed on. If you have another computer with Sonar not on it, you could do that. I have Sonar X1 Producer installed. If you know what specific midi file or files you need, I may be able to find them for you and email to you. I'll need a description of what specifically you are looking for. It looks like I have Session Drummer 3 however. There is a Session Drummer 3 folder of MIDI files called 'Steven Slate + Jerry Lyons'. Does that sound like what you are looking for? Maybe the Midi files you are looking for are only in Session Drummer 2?
