I'm pretty sure I got the software version, as the boxed can not be sent to Norway :)
 
The email from JRR says I have to go into IK and register, and also "This license needs to be manually generated. You will be contacted immediately when it becomes available."
 
In my "IK user area" I only have 3 products which came after I registered: 
- Sampletank Free
- Amplitude Custom Shop
- T-RackS Custom Shop
 
I suppose these are given out to anyone who register?

And I don't seem to get to install the sounds in a different place than the "sampler/instruments". (I might be an idiot...)
I usually install the actual program on the OS disc (Programs) and I have another HD for samples and instrument samples.

You can relocate the sounds...once, they are moved, just open the synth's and point them to 
where the sounds are.  Mine reside on a separate drive as well.

SampleTank 3 will be out sometime in the next decade...it will be 64 bit and you can use
all the sounds from all the instruments with it.

did try to find something about relocating the sounds in the manual. But I did not find it though :)
