Hi
It did this to me at least twice as well, so yes a repeatable issue.
Also , again not wanting to sound ungrateful, but if there was a simpler way of searching for these, or perhaps a sub heading under the Factory main library?
I had the same problem of wrongly spelling the names and overcame this by cutting and pasting the names from the Camel website into a text document on my desktop!

Thanks for confirming Nigel. Also appreciate your validating my observations on the limitations of the Alchemy browser. I am going to bring this up with the camels -
Thanks again

No problem and thanks for taking this up with the Camels - let's hope they don't get the hump.....................

No problems here.
I tried that plus several other things trying to make it crash & it wouldn't.
Maybe something else in your project not playing nice with it?

Well it would be something in my project and in Nigel's - I suspect some common element (SONAR version, bit version, OS version) between Nigel and me that is different than yours. Are you using the 64 bit version of Alchemy? (I am) - If so it would suggest its not a simple bug in alchemy itself. I let Andy at Camel audio know - he may very well come back and tell me it's not Alchemy - we'll see and I'll post back with what I find out.
Thanks Carl!

Hi Brando,
I tried to replicate that issue you are having and it didn't crash (I suppose that's a good thing :)). However, I noticed that Alchemy is installed in Program Files (x86) which is the 32 bit version........I'm not sure how that happened as I was quite sure I installed the 64 bit version (especially after building a new 64 bit machine for that purpose). Anyway, I'll see if I can install the 64 bit version and retest it this weekend.

Have you checked at the KVR (Alchemy) forum to see if others are also having this same issue?

hi Mesh! Yes that's definitely a good thing (not crashing). I did post at KVR but as of this morning no takers (Andy seems to be lurking about so maybe he'll get on it).
Given Carl's experience it seems less likely it is an Alchemy issue -
(Bajan Blue - do you happen to be using Windows 8?)
Cheers Mesh - hope you sort out the 64/32 bit issue with Alchemy.

Hi Brando
No I use windows 7 , everything 64 bit - I'll have another look at this over the weekend and see what I can figure out.

For myself it's usually drum samplers that when used with otherwise stable plugins can crash a project, vi or plugin. (Amplesounds' AGM & AGT is a big offender too)
Also check for any 32b bridged plugins in your project.
