  • FL Studio GUI is going vectorized - no more bitmaps

So FL Studio posted this on their Facebook page the other day:

FL Studio is going vectorial (no bitmaps). Everything you see on the GUI is generated algorithmically so the GUI can be scaled to any resolution with perfect fidelity.

And it linked to this video by way of a "demonstration." However, I don't see any demonstration of vector rescaling here, at least nothing that looks any different to the way Sonar resizes tracks. As a demo video it's pretty worthless and shows nothing of the vector rescaling they're talking about:

However, I am interested to see how it develops. I'd like to see Sonar's GUI ditch the bitmaps and go fully rescalable (and customizable) but I'm not holding my breath

Bitmaps are going away??!  Yikes!  I'd better start saving them now.  They're going to be rare and worth something someday!

Saw that short video - you're right, that's a big, fat, nothing.

Everybody does scaling on tracks, even Sonar. (You almost have to..)

If there's scaling, let's see it on static panels, say a console or mixer view...
