What do you guys think about this free 4.7 GB drum sample library for Kontakt Player.
I downloaded and it doesn't sound bad for free. It has presets for different genres of music.

I was in on that original discussion. I love Drummica as far as the free aspect. It was a little buggy it seemed. If you use it be prepared, it is a cpu hog! Even on a quad core it was very, very hungry! If you have a really fast multi-processor and a ton of RAM it may work well for you. I ended up just taking it off of my drive after acquiring BFD Eco and Addictive Drums. I almost always use Superior in the studio because the load time is so long. I also have a wide variety of the toontrack librarys. Between those three Drummica just did not earn the space on my drive. I do suggest at least downloading and trying it. I don't think you will find a better FREE kit.

Thanks Mesh...that was my thread...I like it...

NO ...it's not the be all and end all of Drum Samplers...
NO...it won't redefine music...

What they did was take a plain ordinary drum set...and use high end Sennheiser and Neuman Mics to
record the samples.  The intent was to showcase the Mic's...not the drums...

I think it is a great freebie...but that's just my opinion...

After all, what do you expect for FREE?

I also downloaded it, but haven't installed it yet.......this might be useful in layering different drum kits to get a "different" sound.

So, according to twaddle, this is all a "real engineer" needs anyway.

Oh hardy har

Thing is Baps a real engineer would be phoning in sick and in need of a good therapist if he/she had to sat in front of kontaks mixer every day.
