If you already have an iLok 2 usb paying $99 to have ProTools 10 and the plugins is a steal.

Does that mean that this version would be the 32 bit one and that version 11 is the 64 bit one? That might make more sense why the blow out price for $99.00.

According to Arturia's website, the laboratory is 64 bit, which they're selling for 129/99 boxed/download.
the "factory" is 32 bit...

Can ProTools plugins be used in sonar X3?
I'd rather not explore another DAW and from what I'm reading, PT on a pc isn't that good.  Then again, what do I know?

full mkIII.V is 199... not a big savings, IMO

The ProTools 11 upgrade from ProTools 10 activation card at Guitar Center is $299.00.
 
ProTools 10 is 32bit and all the plugins are RTAS so they can only be used IN ProTools - the plugins are not VST and cannot be used in other DAW programs.
 
If you wanted ProTools 11 64bit with the new AAX 64 bit plugins this is a cheaper way to get to that.  Pay $99 and register then upgrade for $299 and total cost would be $398.00.  This assumes you already have a iLok2 usb dongle as ProTools still requires iLok 2.
 
Protools 11 new full goes for $575.98 at MF.  Save $177.98.
 
I paid $599.00 on one of the specials and got Avid Eleven Rack guitar effects, iLok 2, ProTools 10 & 11.  I don't see that deal being offered anywhere anymore.  MF has this bundle but it's $899.00.

Picked up laboratory! Great 64 bit/4300 sounds from arturia's legendary analogues, once updated
$50...irresistible!
 
But the real deal is FanFare.  Mine arrived! Amazing 30 gigs of awesome Systems Blue brass running in sample logic's great interface. Spent an hour with it so far...just medium round with the multis was organic! IMO, this is the REAL steal, eminently usable in X3...don't see why'd this ain't sold out for $79!
