Got take my hat off to the local fire department who have been out dealing with the flooding!

Oh the irony.

Stay safe England.

Here's an aerial tour of my home town of Worcester, and this footage was captured well before the water reached its peak height...

Thanks for your kind words John.

I saw the pics of all the swans in the town centre Steve, amazing sight. Let's hope the worst has passed, but I don't know how some people will ever recover from the flooding.

Yikes!  Head for the hills Steve (unless you're part duck).

Hope all your stuff stays dry.

Thanks Craig, but I'm lucky to live over half a mile from the Severn, and on much higher ground above the flood plain.

My heart sinks.  Did I see that correctly?  Are the bridges acting like dams for all the debris caught there?

I can't imagine what they're going through.  Everyone be safe.

Thanks Jan.

Thankfully, as most of that stuff butted up against the bridge is floating debris, and the arches below are clear, the water is managing to get through.

According to a local Facebook page, they have been removing that stuff today and yesterday:

Correction:

Actually, it just said on the local TV news that the debris was actually 3m/10 feet think in places.

Thoughts and prayers to everyone there. We have had our share of floods here as well and understand your frustrations with Mother Nature. Stay safe is most important...the rest is mostly replaceable.
