Started getting bad here S. Arkansas/N. Louisiana yesterday on my way home from work.
Snowed here for about an hour like I haven't seen in the last 12 or so years and this morning everything is ice.

I'm staying home nice and warm...as long as the power stays on.

Stay safe Michael. Just read that the Met Office over here has issued it's first 'red warning' of the winter for winds, expected up to 100MPH later today. What fun.

Man...you stay safe too James.
It's white here...sure don't see that often. I moved from high mountains to lowlands in 1990 so I enjoy it.
I haven't seen one car on the roads yet. Smart is happening so far.

Don't worry, Spacey.  Things will return to normal soon.  Stupidity abhors a vacuum.

Stay warm and safe.

I had an ice drum kit once.  The cymbals shattered.  That's the last time I buy used music gear from Frosty.

Wow! 100mph winds!!.....I bet it feels like a hurricane? is that a regular weather occurance over there?
Michael & James......+1 to staying safe indoors, and maybe even getting a generator......just in case.

High winds seem to be pretty regular through the winter now, once it gets above an average of 40MPH (gusts up to 80MPH) I start to get nervous..had part of my roof peeled off in the winter of 2010, that wasn't much fun.

We're getting away with it lightly compared to the SW of England though, those folks are really going through it with flooding and constant storms.

Good luck to both of you and everyone else who's affected by this extreme weather.
