Wonderful stuff.  Damnn--now I want to get a DSLR that I can't afford at the moment.

Decay, Sustain, Loop, Release?

Now I want an analogue synth too!

My new video camera (did I mention I had a new video camera?) has the opposite function built in.   It can blur out the foreground and background and increase the frame rate slightly to make a full size image look like it was a macro shot of something small.

@Randy - I'd love to see that if you find it.  I had to settle for the following image I took of a sunrise from my back deck about five years ago (with a 2-megapixel point-and-shoot camera).  I bet I could do far better now with my 13-megapixel smart phone camera!

Nice shot btw. Took one like that about 10 yrs ago with a point-n-shoot digital:

Nice shot there yourself!
(What?  No volcanic mountain peak included though?)

It's there. Kinda hard to see from this angle but just look about 400 miles to the right.

Ok, I think I see it, but I might have broke my monitor by bending it that much...

That's cool, Strumber, but they still don't look like birds.

That sounds like the 'tilt/shift' effect Karen - like the intro to Sherlock...

Cool effect, but they do tend to overuse it a bit on the telly.

If I remember correctly, Juliana did some fantastic photographs using that technique.

Here's what I was talking about. This stuff is just beautiful to me.
