I played many gigs with that amp years ago ('80;s)...it had a lot less knobs LOL. Great amp. It was beautiful too.
 
A friend had one that had the magic marker number..that's how the very first ones were marked..he tracked down and talked with the original owner...Carlos Santana.

Thanks everyone. I was really nervous leading up to placing the order but once I ordered it I became happy. I downloaded the manual and am reading it and going to re-read it. From what I have gotten between the lines... some of the controls do more than what they are labeled that they do. I need to learn where to start with it so I can tweak the right things in the right order so I can make it sound good. I'll figure it out though and have fun doing it.
 
I'll post some pics when it gets here and some clips when I figure it out.

I wish I could lose my mind like that! But I'd have to find it first - I think it's buried somewhere here in one of these piles of (far less impressive) gear. 

When yorolpal gives me his Kemper I'll be happy, but seriously that Mesa looks sexy!
