We're down to the final two days of the Group Buy and someone at KVR rightfully pointed out that my explanation of the differences in vibrato between Concert Strings 2 and Spotlight Strings could be a bit clearer, so I thought I'd make a similar post here to my KVR response.

What I mean when writing Concert String 2's vibrato is "baked in" is that the vibrato is actually played on the stringed instruments, it's recorded that way. It's part of -- AKA "baked in" to -- the samples. Whereas with Spotlight Strings, the samples are recorded without vibrato. The user has complete control over the vibrato. The vibrato on Spotlight Strings uses LFOs to provide the user with complete control over vibrato intensity, speed and fade-in.
 

Okay, I'm sorry to be the only one posting in this thread lately, but this is kinda big news for this Group Buy -- we're now at 273 participants, which means we have two days left to get 27 more people on board we'll reach the highest discount level, 50% off everything. You can sign up for GB until Feb 20, 2014 at midnight PST -- which is basically a pledge to buy something -- and you have until Feb 28, 2014 midnight PST to place your order. So, I'd urge anyone on the fence to please post your questions here, download the free library demos (there's very little risk involved when you can try out free demo/trial versions of Spotlight Strings, Concert Strings 2 and Concert Brass 2 and see how you like them without spending a penny).
 
There's enough Kirk Hunter Studios customers in this forum that you can get honest, unbiased opinions from KHS customers (I limit my posting my opinions because I work with KHS; there are plenty of people here who don't who are happy to provide their opinions). When you consider the reduction KHS did during this GB on list prices, for example Concert Strings 2's list price was reduced 50% from $799 USD to $399 USD, this will mean a discount of around 75% off of the original list price when we started the Group Buy.

   I'm right here beside you my friend! We are SO close to reaching the goal.

Looks like we are in the final stretch and we only need about 16 more people. I already bought Spotlight strings and I'm enjoying them, but I'm thinking of picking up pop rock string too. At $100 or less they're a steal. People should also keep in mind that spotlight strings should be getting new samples that sound even better than the current ones.

I'm licking my chops waiting for the Group Buy time period to end.  Can't wait to get the Spotlight Strings.  Already have the Pop Rock Strings with Easy String Arranger which has been a winner.

At this point, with 284 and 1 day to go, I think the odds are excellent that we're going to make it to the 50% off level. Of course, it never hurts if anyone goes to any other forums to post a reminder and let people know how close we are to 50% and the GB sign up period ending.
