Much prefer it to the summer olympics personally.
Except for curling which is just housework on ice and snowboarding which is just privileged wasters twatting around in the snow AFAIC.
If snowboarding isn't a demanding sport for daredevils then what is? I think snowboarding and freestyle ski'ing are the best boost injections the winter olympics have ever gotten. Spectacular to watch, amazing performances, and relaxed sportsmanship that has vanished in many money-sports.
Curling is OK to me, too. It isn't as light as it may look. It's far more sporty than for example shooting, IMO.
Bobsleigh/tobogganing is something that is far too expensive to arrange compared to the number of active athletes. All the bobsleigh tracks have become problem waste after the games in all olympic cities, as far as I know.
These winter olympic games I'll mostly skip for several reasons. Let's hope the weather doesn't sabotage too many events.
