Not one with which I could take issue. I might simply add: if a tattoo thou must have then let it be these holy commandments tattooed in reverse on your chest. So that before each and every gig you shall stand, shirtless, gazing deeply into the mirror and be reminded of these few essential truths. Then for all that is holy's sake...put your shirt back on before going on stage.

I think #1 pretty much sums it up. 

The only universal truth about bass playing is that people who think there's only one "proper" way to play bass don't know anything about bass playing.
