Unfortunately, I've already sold my boat. What's sadder than a boat anchor without a boat? A device with no purpose, and whose only talent is an affinity for gravity. I'd just add it to the pile of crab pots and other marine paraphernalia I can no longer use.

Next question-Is it anywhere near your birthday? You could probably write some of it off as a business expense.

Definitely sounds like the flash memory got corrupted. I don't know about motu's designs, but devices that I worked on, we always kept the flash downloading function within the bootstrap code and located within the protected boot sector of the flash. If the app goes to hell, the strap would note the bad crc, and default to firmware download mode - usually with some winky-blinky lights going on to make it obvious. Also, we'd make it so that if you turned it on with the correct magic buttons pressed, it'd come up in firmware download mode. I wonder if motu does something like that, and if their tech's or engineers would even acknowledge it...
