You know who you are!

I'm about to sell the entire V-Drum/SPD-20 kit below (except for the drum throne which I just love).  I just broke down all of the parts, went out to eBay and got a basic idea of what each part is worth.  That said, I will NOT be using eBay, but will be selling locally on Craigslist.  That means I won't have to deal with shipping and I also won't have to lose 20+% of the net to eBay (which is about what I'm averaging lately since they take small listing fees, then 3% PayPal fees followed by 10% of the gross which includes whatever I get for shipping...).

Ok, enough yapping, here are the pictures of the kit followed by a chart of the prices I got off of eBay - the opinion questions will be right after those.

Ok, here are my questions:

1)  To sell the entire kit LOCALLY, as is, what should I ask for?  About half?  My goal is to move it quick without really screwing myself.

2)  Do you think I should sell the SPD-20 separately from the rest of the kit?  If so, same pricing questions - how much for each?

Thanks a lot!

Oh yeah, forgot to mention.  I'm a guitarist not a drummer so there's far fewer hours on the kit than normal.

Scerially tho,

Ya, sell the SPD-20 separately. Can't say what price as we live in different economic worlds.

Agree...SPD separately.

Check out the vdrums forums. I've bought some stuff there, and it's a pretty decent bunch.

I guess I should have guessed that there would be one, eh?

Sounds like the SPD-20 should be separate then!  Good to know.

Thanks for the replies!

(Any drummers out there like to throw out some suggested prices?).

Wow, really? I was just starting to set up an Ebay account so that I could sell off some old guitar and recording gear. Selling a guitar pick up for $25-35 hardly seems worth it if you are going to loose 33% of the sale.

The 20% is net (so not 33% loss).

The listing fees are very low now, but PayPal (which is almost required now) takes 3% of the TOTAL you receive, then eBay takes 10% of the TOTAL you receive.  The reason it gets to around 20% for me is that the total includes the money you're given to ship the damn stuff!  So if you get $100 to ship something heavy, you obviously don't get to keep it, you need to use it for what it's intended:  Shipping.  However, you now suddenly owe $13 to PayPal and eBay from that $100.  Completely BS if you ask me.
