Good call on separating the parts!

Looks like a friend will be buying the basic kit which I will deliver and setup for him tomorrow.

The SPD-20 by itself is much easier to sell and ship anyway.

And... The SPD-20 is now sold!  Yay!  Rent covered for another month.  Hehe...

As someone who intends to eventually piece together a workable V-Drum kit (like start with the kick, snare, hats and one cymbal pad then work my way up) they really are kind of a decent modular sell unlike a real drum kit.

Two things I'm wondering though...

a) um... shouldn't there be kick pads? I thought the kicks were a pad unit.

b) Would Armorall damage V-Drum pads in any way? Because if I were selling those and it didn't I'd give those buggers a quick swipe to get then a little more prettified. From the V-Drum thingies I've handled seems like a little Armorall wouldn't hurt but IDK.

It craig's was like one of my two, the beater goes forward to about a downward 30 degree angle and hits a very small pad that is indistinguishable in the photo.

Oh... I got confuzzled. I figured that was more than a basic kit (like... that's a lotta pads, yo even without the SP-20 or whatever).

Still curious about the kicks and the Armorall.

Freaky. I've only really seen the ones that look like either the snare (but bigger) or the "tom" pads.

Beeps. I've got one of each. I'll post some pics when I get the chance.

Appreciated but don't go to that bother on my account. I believe you. If there's a part number though I could just look it up on the tubes. I'm assuming they are less expensive than the biggies too so it'd be nice to add to my list of things I can fool myself into thinking I may buy someday.

The generic expression pedal that shipped with my padKontrol is... well... a bit unwieldy as a kick drum trigger. Leads to much PRV editing after the fact. And I will totally blame it on that and not that I suck at hitting things in a musical way.

;-)

but seriously I need a better midi input solution for at least my kick sounds.
