Feedback on CG2 would be most appreciated!
 
I've been using CG, which I got for $79 during black friday.  Really love the clean guitars/riffs/sequences which are really playable for songwriting ideas... Will be a real scrape for me to do CG2, but it appears to have more guitars/metal/electric and is a large 15/16 gig library.  I don't care about all the guitar torture sounds...but if the real guitar scripting is decent, I'll find a way...even if it's only 25% of the library... CG is that wonderful.

I did the same as you and got Cinematic Guitars for $79 on black Friday.  Honestly I haven't used it all that much, but it's a nice package for $79.
 
Cinematic Guitars 2 is usually $399 and with the 40% off still comes in at $239 and change.

I've been unable to register the serial# for my copy from mf and have got no response from SL or NI to my queries as to the # coming up "already used"
 
Just called mf and they're dealing with it...either sending a new copy or getting a new working #.
 
That's +10 for real stores and a big fat zero for SL/NI.

Well, my replacement for the fanfare SL NEVER dealt with is has been shipped.  Have decided not to give Sample Logic any more of my money.  Even MF said they suck at taking care of customers...have decided to get Shreddage2... Impact Soundworks is really cool, all over KVR's forums, and it's a killer product for way less... just watching their vids and seeing how they deal with issues on the forum really impressed me.  The little kid on the block wins again! 

for guitar i got the Fab four and  with nice rebverbs and ampsim you got that epic cinematic guitar sounds ....i'm really trying to resiste piking up morphestra !

Hi, zo...was excited about recent fab four 99$ sale until I had to buy another library...i already have lots of EW and while I've rarely used anything but pianos (and spaces is my go to verb on every track/bus)...l would have grabbed it in a snap, but really didn't want anything else
 
Have decided no more SL as they totally ignored emails about bad serial# in one of four sl libraries I own. In contrast, discussions with Impact Soundworks about juggernaut & shreddage has been stellar, they r willing to support ecological activism, and their online presence/dealing with users...is really great...
 
I will make do with omnisphere/CG1/Orange tree/8 Dio guitars/EW metal 2 (whatever it's called)... actually, have enough!
 
For a bit more than CG2, I can get all impact sw products with their "everything deal"... and what people are doing with shreddage 2 on sound cloud is truly amazing.
 
As to Morphestra, I'm getting tired of all the "mangled sounds", but at 40% off, probably can't go wrong...
 
Guess I have decided to support companies supporting us...I do like SL's scripting engine but no keyswitching sucks.  For the price of morphestra you can get the total AEON package, which is really cool, as are they! But mainly I have become sick of corporations that ignore legitimate issues by people buying their products!

I'm sure you'll enjoy shreddage 2.
Do you have the MusicLab stuff ?.
I tend to use RealLPC a lot, it's got awesome control/articulations - I have shreddage 2 and a whole bunch of other virtual guitars, and each one has their strengths and weaknesses.
 
On the SL front, I would have thought it was up to MF to sort that out if you bought it from MF.
SL would not have any reference or info. I've always found SL very good when I've purchased from them.
 
MF on the other hand, just gave me the giant run around with a Mic set that said "Ships Internationally", but at checkout refused to ship to my country. Live chat, followed by 4 Support tickets and 3 phone calls, and quite frankly my tome is worth more than I saved. And it was nothing less than a comedy of answers from them.
Their last and final answer was - It's an error on the site, doesn't ship to your country sorry ... and this was after they sold it to me over the phone. I see it does ship to my country, I've received the shipping notification :-)
 
I'm sure you'll enjoy ImpactSoundworks stuff, I couldn't afford the everything bundle at the time I bought over there, but grabbed Shreddage 2 and Juggernaut, awesome stuff !.

cliffr... just downloaded Juggernaut... very cool.  Also want Hybrid Alpha, another fully wave file setup of whoosh/bangs, risers, downers, impacts, transitions... developed by/with Daniel James, who I truly adore.
 
On the guitar front, I know Shreddage 2 will take awhile to get down but some of the stuff on soundcloud is just amazing... could never play that! I'll check out musiclab (oh, no!) Boy, that guy playin' the keytar is good!!!
 
My main thought is which is easier to get down... loved Andrews videos on shreddage... really helps me understand the process, which is totally different than playing a guitar!
 
As to SL...they could have at least responded...several attemps! EW gets a bad rap a lot but they offer great deals and their new play engine is working great.  I know the autotune guys use to get a bad rap but they've always responded quickly to me.  Not that I've used it much (gotta stop buying things I wont use!)
 
Morphestra... yea, huge ambience packages... and 40% is enticing but I've got ambience up the butt already!  As I'm playing around more with low orchestrations to stir up emotion about climate issues, I'm trying to get the "impacts"/whooshbangs down... really changes the character of songs...and this'll be my second forey into it, with real waves to use from now on...so much easier to line up!  Well, I'm off to play with "Juggs!"
