If you hadn't extolled the virtues of this glorious product for so long, I wouldn't have cared.
But you did, ad nauseam, and you STILL haven't delivered.
 
Cakewalk has basically given you carte blanche to ply your wares here in their forums and all you have succeeded in doing is abusing our trust and angering your once loyal customers.
 
By staying here in these forums you are underachieving. Your skills are better suited for big time politics.

This is the same EXACT thing we've heard for MONTHS....ad nauseum...

Face it...the vast majority of "Pros" are pretty much done with SampleTank based on 
the MAJOR LACK OF SUPPORT over the years.  I'm sure you'll pay off many "top guys"
to promote your program to increase sales.  As I've stated over and over...there will
be MARKETING HYPE TO BEAT THE BAND!!! (lterally)

Most have moved on to "other" products, that ARE supported, and where, when they INVEST
THEIR HARD EARNED MONEY... the don't have to wait 11 years to get a return...
AND listen to crap for years about the "next version".

Seriously....you better sell this for PEANUTS.....and HOPE that SOMEONE buys it...
The "Newbies" that you GAVE ST 2.5 to will "fall for" your hype.  But those of 
us who have been around won't.  Sorry.

I invested FAR TO MUCH to be "left hanging" for so long, as did many others...

I wish ST3 the best...but if ANYONE out there has ANY sense...they'll PASS.

You bought a product and it worked for a long time (still works), and WAS upgraded since it was initially released hence the name SampleTank 2.5.  Now they are a redoing the sounds, providing a new version and your projecting onto IK.
 
Nobody promised you a rose garden.  You bought a product that delivered and you used it, you cared about it.  Now after a long time they are going to improve said product and include things that you and many users want AND going to provide an upgrade path so the price will be cheaper to you than buying a new product.
 
I truly do not believe that IK can do anything to appease you from the posts you and some others have posted.  I don't get it.

You are obviously TOTALLY oblivious to what has happened here with SampleTank.

The LAST update to this program was almost 5 years ago..

They've been promising ST3 for almost 5 years...and not delivered anything but "smoke".

They took all their resources and invested them in iCrap...and left this product, and it loyal
customers hanging about a "new" version.  Once they capitalized on the iCrap market
they updated T-Racks and Amplitube to their Custom Shop model, and STILL left the 
product that got NO ATTENTION, and it's customers hanging.  NOW they want to 
"Hype" this program after resting on their laurels with it for 5 years.

It's NOT the product per se...it's the WAY THEY CHOSE TO DO IT...
 
And I highly recommend being more "in the know" about the "what's and who's and where's"
before interjecting in a conversation that you obviously know so little about.  Those of us
who have been customers for YEARS and invested THOUSANDS and got very little to NO support,
but were LIED TO REPEATEDLY (in a round about way even) are the ones with the problem...
and it's TOTALLY justified...whether YOU think so or not....

I'm not trying to be rude...but my "Crusade" as you call it is COMPLETELY JUSTIFIED...
 
Just ask anyone who KNOWS the WHOLE STORY...not just "bits and pieces" and you'll 
find I'm right.

If YOU want to invest YOUR money in this...that's YOUR prerogative...and YOU can wait

Head over the Sampletank thread over at KVR, and you'll see a member called "neverenoughfunk" who constantly lambasts any Sampletank thread.
 
See if the posting style seems remarkably similar.   Always with ellipsis (three dots) between phrases, for example. Always the most frequent poster in those threads and mostly only adding combative words and comments about how it'll be terrible and no one should care.

(Note:  I do get users frustration with IK's marketing and long development time with Sampletank.  Heck, it annoys me too, but to take it so far as to be unable to just speak your piece and let it be is a bit much.)

The point is "no, it doesn't take that much repetition."  The same group of people read this board all the time (give or take a member or two).  We know how you feel about Sampletank and IK. Other people may have different feelings about IK.  It's not because they don't "get it."  They just don't see things the way you do.  You're not our "teacher" and we're not your "students." 
 
Also, it might be the case that others learn faster than you do and don't need the repetition you think they do.

You do realize every line above could be directed from me to you, right?  "I could continue my crusade against your incessant complaining.  It's my right.  You don't have to read it.  That's your right.  So move on if my posts bother you."  I never understand why people say that sort of stuff on a forum. 
 
Of course, no one questioned your right to post your posts, so it's odd to even go there.  I'm just expressing my opinion that it's annoying sorting through rant and after rant of the same junk in a thread trying to glean some information. 
 
By the way, I say all that as someone who does *agree* with a number of your points--it's the way they're presented that gets old in thread after thread.

I joined this forum 8 years before you got here.  There's a long range conspiracy required to get to your conclusion particularly since I didn't even defend IK at all in my post.

I can see you've kept up with events...

My point is...my CRUSADE is peaceful...and REPETITIOUS...if you got the message GREAT.
But my posts are NOT meant exclusively for YOU, and that was my point.  You don't have to
like my "repetitiveness"...that's your right...and you're free to express that.  But when you OPENLY
draw comparisons to others, in other forums, then you invite the consequences.  You seem like
you are defending the actions of IK...

I have been a Cakewalk customer as along as you've been a forum member here...
I just didn't join the forum until after I purchased X1, moving from Pro Tools.  I've also been
far more active here in my short time then you have been in 10 years...

I've also been an IK Customer since 2004.  I've been in the music/recording business for 35 years...
which may be longer then you've been alive...I don't know...

I didn't question your motives in ANY of your posts...but YOU did in mine...in comparing me to someone
on another forum...KVR.  A "Lambaster" I believe the term was...

So, remember, we're all free to express ourselves....but we must also be prepared to "take the heat" for it...
