Yes, you did. Read two posts upthread.  You said it seemed as if I might be a paid IK spokesperson or perhaps a sock puppet of IK reps.   I brought up my membership date simply to show that your implications of being a sock puppet didn't make any sense.  Years of being a member or post counts I realize aren't that important.
 
I did indeed compare your postings to a member at KVR.  I have no idea if you're the same person or not.  I *do* believe it when you say you are not.  The style and content are very similar and the thread disruption it causes is the same. That was the basis for the comparison. 
 
They are a constant disruption to threads.  So, I have to wade through the junk there and then wade through it over here.  Ben (the main guy) over at KVR finally had enough and temp banned the guy, so that's something. 
 
My guess is that at least some folks feel the same way as I do around here (at least on toning it down a notch).  They may not.  If not, then that's fine.  I'll be alright. Your posts, though, communicate a lot more than I think you realize.

I have been reading this forum for years (since Sonar 3) and I post very infrequently.

He left out the obvious slap in the face by IK to the people who paid FULL Price for their aged products only to watch them be given away the last few years for peanuts...on the premise of a "coming soon" big upgrade.
They then tout their iCrap "products" that really don't relate in any way to Cakewalk PC based products.

You are chastising him for his "crusade", yet there would be no crusade if IK and obi would either put out the product they promised or stay the hell out of this forum. It would be also nice if they stopped LYING.
 
They are clearly irritating some good Cake customers and a bunch of KVR forum people.
 
iCrap apps are not pro products. Cakewalk is pro level software. ST2 is a pro level piece of kit. Do you see the correlation?
 
If you want the "annoyance" of these kinds of posts to stop may I suggest you request the removal of the original irritant rather the ones reacting to it and warning people.

Nice term for stuff people buy that winds up in the junk drawer next to a pile of old cell phones - only to stay there for years due to the reluctance to toss out something you paid dearly for, until you tire of it wasting space....
 
 
as for IK, Larry's got a point. Let him sing - but folks are just as welcome to rebut - or even gripe that it's all getting tedious.

Maybe the best solution is to eliminate advertising in the forums. There's no way to pick and choose who should be allowed to flog their junk, so we need to say yes or no to the whole idea. I see two kinds of advertisers here, there's the IK types and then there's Orange Tree. Greg is always trying to do something for his users but Obi, not so much.
 
I guess we have to listen to Obi if we want to also hear from Greg, or, we have to say no to both. It's a tough one. I will say that I listen to somebody like cclary before I listen to some "long time" member with a dozen posts.

I agree with you which is why when we have a problem with someones point of view we should not Direct our opinions directly at a specific person but when someone starts out by saying 'I don't know what You're problem is' or 'You always do this or that' it's kinda hard not to take it personally. Points can be made without calling someone out.

I certainly (at least I hope not) don't believe that Pete and Obi are responsible...
As I've said "repeatedly", I welcome Obi...he's a good guy...

But, if they want to be here..they need to LISTEN to THEIR CUSTOMERS!!!

We all have the right to voice our thoughts.  My only point to Smokey was
his comparison of me to someone on KVR is relative to my comparison of him
to a PAID IK rep (turnabout is fair play is the saying)

IK knows they've screwed the pooch...I'm going to continue to beat that down...
till it's bloodied and battered...

If we just "Shut up"...NOTHING CHANGES.  Companies will continue to take advantage
of their customers...and the Customers will THANK THEM FOR IT because they are so
obsessed with "COPD - Chronic Obsessive Plugin Disorder" that they don't care if the
company screws them or not...they just NEED the next "FIX"!  I see it all the time.

That's the problem with this world...everyone just wants to float through...not realizing
that NOTHING changes that way.  Then they want to cry about "how messed up things are"
while all they did was sit and be quiet...rather then taking up arms and a cause and 
fighting the good fight.

PS...most (not all) of the IK supporters...are those who just got in on the ST GROUP GIVEAWAY
so are dying for ST 3, and haven't had the glorious experience of investing thousands, only to be given
the wide end of the shaft in the anal cavity by IK...
