Well, I've said it before and I'll say it once more.
 
I was irked that Antares charged me for a 64bit upgrade path. But I used that suite quite frequently and so I acquiesced to paying The Man. All my (vast) other plugs vendors did not charge me for 64bit upgrade.
 
Since I do not use ST2.5 all that much anymore I am opting out of ST3, unless it's a $49 customer loyalty upgrade fee or a free player is offered. And I REALLY will think very hard over the $49 price, but since that is very unlikely I'm not giving it much thought except when I reply to threads like these.

I believe they've already made it clear that there will be no free player...
Too bad, I'm not upgrading.

Amplitube is my go to guitar sim followed by S-Gear. I need to learn more about my TH2 and Headcase.
 
CSR is nice but I somehow rarely think of it since I go to Valhalla Room, UAD EMT 140 and (now) Lexicon LXP.

Sadly, I use T-Racks Grand, Amplitube, CSR, all the ST Sampler/Synths...

IK makes a good product...to bad they don't make good product support 
 

Grem~ sorry bro they have lied. When you say something is going to happen and then it doesn't, you have lied.
"ST3 will be delivered in 2013" (last year) was their battle cry. "Very soon" was another "teaser". "We're almost there"...or my favorite; "expect an exciting announcement in the next few weeks"....only to be taunted with more new iCrap (a term which I did not invent for the record) 
 
If my dry cleaner promised my shirts by a certain date I would respect that. If I'm still looking for my shirts a year a year later (or more in this case) someone's credibility is less than zero.
 
I suggest that Obi and IK stay out of this forum until ST3 is available.
No more iGarbage ads or empty promises. Stay out until the exact day ST3 is available to the general public.
And if the upgrade fee is not very attractive you'd better expect more hatred and vitriol from the angry masses.
 
Then the more sensitive forum readers won't have to sift through our complaints and cat calls. We could get back to more the important things at hand like which free plugins are the best.
