I don't know about software guys....most music software got bumped up to 64-bit pretty quickly.
But why are all their other products like Amplitube and Tracks all 64-bit?
Why lie?

I sprinkled some Hi Karate and Jade East on the forum. The troll smell should subside soon.

What lie? I posted a link showing an IK employee making noise about release dates way back in 2013. The only thing to argue about that post is whether the statement made was meretricious, stupid, or both.

The only reason a company doesn't produce a 64bit VSTI is because they either don't have the programmers (too cheap to hire), or because they haven't directed the ones that they have to do so. That's a management issue - clear and simple.

I think the "low post count" guys have totally missed the point.

ST 2 was released in 2004.  ST 2.5 was released in 2007....the LAST tick update,
2.5.4 was in April of 2010 That is now 4 years ago.  My point is, after 2.5 came out,
IK started the ST 3 coming soon scenario...it was VAPOR WARE.  They showed pics of
them recording samples (which, incidently RESURFACED last year)...never came...
then they touted COMING SOON...then it really got good after 2.5.4.   Then a few years ago...
the battle cry went out again...

ST 3 coming soon!.....THEN last year, early, we were told it would be out SOON.
Late last year we were told BEFORE THE END OF THE YEAR, most likely NOVEMBER,
then we were told, before Dec 31st....or free plugins...which got dropped to free plugins
for Guitarpima (and I'm GLAD he got them).

This is an ONGOING and DELIBERATE misrepresentation....I don't care HOW you slice it
boys...

11 years for a version 2 to version 3 product cycle is ridiculous...sorry...just is...
I firmly believe that if Pro Tools had remained 32 bit, they'd never do anything
with this program, because it wasn't until Pro Tools went 64 bit, that they decided
to "do the do"  That's just my thought,  because all the other DAW's have been 64
bit for quite a while.

IK decided to go after the iDollar....and sell iCraps...that's great....but they continued
to neglect this product completely.....for YEARS.....not a year, or a month, but REALLY
for 11 years.  The point upgrades were just to keep the program functional...and those
were few and far between.

I don't know about what YOU think you buy when you buy software...it's NOT a product that
you get and it's done.  It's a LICENSE to use it.  And that implies that, when you can't USE IT
anymore, then the license is DEAD, because you can't USE IT.  They have EVERY OBLIGATION
to keep the Program USABLE to the Licensee....PLAIN AND SIMPLE!!!  THAT is what software
companies DO.  THAT is why EVERY COMPANY OUT THERE supplies patches and updates....

EPIC FAIL...end of story...bye bye...

Trolls?  lol.  No I have a low post count because I spend my time making music and living life.  I really cant imagine life posting on forums all day.  Get some sun fellas.  :)

I still don't get what he big deal is if they didn't upgrade their software in five years.  Or even ten.  So what? The product they sold you works. I used it the other day on my widows 8.1 laptop.  It still works and sounds fine.   They missed their deadline?  So what?  That's IK's loss.  They lost costumers that moved on.

It wont take long to think of any company that hasn't done the same or worse.  Remember p5?  I was a p5 user.  And Cakewalk even promised an update and never delivered.  I moved on,  but if I wanted to,  I could still use p5.  I got what I bought.

I do agree that companies should be held accountable for their promises.  (Like cakewalk promising a p5 update lol). And how do you hold them accountable?  There really isn't much a customer can do except not  buy anymore from them.  And tell others.

But even so,  the product I bought works. Anyone that has bought software for enough time knows...you never buy the on first release (public beta) and you buy the product for what it does right now.

All this bullying however, is just silly.  Missing a deadline?  Big deal.  How does that hurt anyone but Ik?  The only thing I really don't like is the ik spam and their reps.  Those two reps are annoying.
