Oh dear, I guess that means Pete didn't bother to get his facts straight. They owe Guitarpima some free plugs for sure....
How about it Obi, has Pete authorized you to give him his serial numbers that were promised along with Ik's and your compliments?

Peter has said on the forum that he will honor any promises he has made.

If they take care of Guitarpima like they said they would, all is forgiven here as far as I'm concerned.

But I predict no free plugs, no compliments but plenty of Jedi mind tricks

As far as the TOS SampleTank 3 Release. I'll believe it when I see it.

Obi, if you're out there tell me why I need your sampler rather than continuing to invest in Kontakt libraries.

That is the big question, and by the time ST3 is released we may have Kontakt 6 (or 7 or 8 ). With Komplete plus targeted content from, Sampletekk, Orange Tree, Hollow Sun, Indiginus , Hideaway Studios, Boldersounds, Tonehammer, Soundiron and Kirk Hunter I have the basses well covered.

Everything else is moving forward. Every month ST3 is delayed ther bigger the wow factor thats needed or the lower the price will need to be to get me to buy.

It's pretty sad to see threads like this for a product that at one time was a mainstay for me.  I remember how happy I was when I got Sampletank 1, because I was looking for something to replace my QSR rack mount ROMpler and Sampletank did that.  Sonik Synth 2 was like getting a whole music store full of retro keyboards and it became my main sound source and Sampletank 2 tied the whole thing together into one nice package that worked well with the resources I had available to me in the old system I was using at the time.  This was like 8 years ago though.  I was running Sonar 4 at that time, IIRC.

Like others here, I've updated my equipment and I can run massive sound libraries now.  I've moved on to Kontakt, too, and Sampletank sort of sits on my harddrive now.

I wouldn't say anything as negative as most people are posting here, but I do understand why it's happening.  It seems to me that Sampletank is similar to old PS2 or Xbox games.  We've moved on to the next generation and Sampletank is still in another era.  It doesn't help that we've had the same promises from IK, that Sampletank 3 would be released any day now, for 3 years.  We've watched product after product introduced and Sampletank just got ignored by IK.

If loyal diehards like me have given up,,, I really do think they have a high bar to get over.  I do have to acknowledge that at one time I did love Sampletank, and all the extra libraries, though.  It served me well for a long time,,, but I'm a Kontakt user now.

Ah the IK Pete quote - I knew they had promised something, well remembered!
And IK Pete is / was?? Is he IK Obi's boss?
So it looks all us long suffering Sampletank owners will be getting some new IK products if they do not release Sampletank 3 by the end of this year - do you think we should start to help them by collecting contact details of all the people they have to give these new products to - just in case their records are as out of date as Sampletank!!!!!

Promises for free software were only made to certain people.  There was never a blanket promise to all ST owners.  Also, from what I've read at KVR (where a few of those promises were made to specific people), they are going to honor those promises.

Correct.

I was one of those involved in that conversation...

And I'm willing to bet I don't get anything...they always have a way of "copping" out...
As a matter of fact...it was MY THREAD!

I know IK all to well...there were many of us here involved in that thread...
Time will tell and we shall see ...anyone placing bets?

I'll walk out on a ledge here. I'll bet (nothing) that ST3 may be shown at NAMM but it won't be available for purchase yet...

That is not much of a bet. You could at least put up your complementary T-RackS CS Grand and AmpliTube 3 licenses.
