It started to involve politics on the main forum. I'm pretty sure my other posts covered it. 

Hope he's got local friends to help and support him.

Hey Keni-there`s more people out there using 8.5.3 than you think.
not everyone needs Xx for their particular situation and yes ,some people love it but going back to 8.5.3 is not a step backwards if it works for you.

Keni, you could sell everything and move to GA where, considering the comparative home prices etc... you could live like a king...
Seriously, CA is a nice place to visit but a great place to move away from.
You hang in there. Remember, things change. Sometimes things seem to be too much then in a little while you don't even remember the bad times.

I know someone who did exactly that.  They moved to GA and got 3 times the house for 1/4th the price

Florida is also a good place to live/find homes that are relatively much cheaper than Cali (no state tax too). Also, the gun laws here are the opposite of Cali. There's always options out there, people willing to help, and hope is not lost......you just have to find one that suits you best.
