For the past couple months I have been unable to install Flash player updates. Every time I tried once I got to the Adobe Download Manager phase (where that little window pops up and the update downloads) the dl manager would be blank. No way around it. So being a lazy arse I just ignored it thinking I'd find a solution later.
Well this morning Firefox started blocking flash vids complaining Flash was too out of date so I did some digging and found this thread on their site...
https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1822939 It shows the blank window and describes the exact problem I was having. One of the Adobe doods posited it could be due to the new company handling their download stuff and that if you use scriptblocking it was blocking their domain (of course with no way to temporarily allow that domain because it does not download in the browser).
The solution is a manual install of Flash for your browser. You can find links to those installations at the very bottom of this page (scroll down to the "Still Having Problems?" section)...

Cheers.
