Got to be worth a watch, judging by this description;

''In the year that the 'winter of discontent' saw continuing strikes black out ITV and TOTP reduced during a technicians strike to a narrator introducing videos, the show also found itself the site of conflict backstage. TOTP's old guard of 70s MOR acts had their feathers continually ruffled by new wave bands, as the Skids spat at the Nolan Sisters backstage and Generation X urinated off the roof onto the Dooleys.''

I've always wondered about 1979...

Excellent

I can't remember which Generation X song it was, but I recall Billy Idol on TOTP miming perfectly about half a second out of synch with the backing track from start to finish

Anyone else noticed how Jimmy Saville has been edited out of all these shows?  As one of the most regular hosts of TOTP that must be quite a task.

In 1979, Planet Records released my group's first album "Sue Saad & The Next".  Before that, we were signed to Warner Brother's Music (publishing deal) and the are the ones that helped us get signed.

We had a hit in Amsterdam so we flew over and did a concert with Crocus and also a video.  Later, Sheena Easton covered one of the songs we wrote called "Prisoner" that went gold.  Uriah Heep also covered it.
We lost our deal when Planet lost their distribution rights with Electra.

To promote our album, we toured and did one night shows with The Baby's, The Boomtown Rats, UFO and Tom Petty.  The group broke up after we could not get picked up and I started my recording studio in Los Angeles.

Yes, and the re-runs of It's A Knockout have most likely been shelved indefinitely too.

Hi Karyn, thank you so much for posting that link!  I never saw that video?  We did that in Amerstam.  I love that you found it.  I am the drummer.

Wow!  I am very grateful!

Both of those things are very cool!  The video is very well done and it looks like you got plenty of decent face time (NOT usual for a drummer!).

Your overall look reminds me a lot of Scandal.
