Just think, before you know it you'll be relaxing in a nice chair, grilling outdoors and listening to the birds singing. Winter will be a distant memory...I can almost hear the birds now...and smell the steak cooking. I'm hungry.

So you probably shouldn't go outside Commando style where you are Spacealf?

Yep. Northern Indiana here. It's -18 here right now, the wind chill is almost -40, and we've got over a foot of snow. Global warming??? Not thinking so...

Lead, I moved back here to Redford from Fort Wayne.  My ultimate goal is
Arizona, that way, when I'm homeless, I can at least be warm

Good idea Larry! Though I hope you'll never be homeless!

We had it pretty bad here in Vegas last month - a snowstorm of almost Canadian proportion:

Fortunately, things got back to normal...

But that area needs it, though. Kathy said that for once her flowers got thoroughly watered, and she didn't even have to water, feed or bathe the birds!

Rain, it's a wonder anyone there survived.

And they still have the pending floods from when it melts to be prepared for!

i just finished shoveling about 8" of snow off my very long driveway last evening..
and yesterday morning, i had shoveled about 3", so twice in one day...

today, we're supposed to get another 7-9" of snow, and with my yard setup, i trap winds and get snow drifts twice as deep....

so i know what i'll be doing this evening...

warming up the snow blower

That's  probably the single most annoying thing about snow removal for me. To spend an hour at it and then go out and do it all again not much later.

Thank goodness for snow blowers.
