I think I’ve told this story here before but it is probably worth retelling.  Many years ago my wife and I attended the Modern Drummer Festival at Monclair State College in NJ.  A “star” studded event where Ginger Baker was the “A – lister” invited clinician.
 
As a side note, my wife deserved a lot of credit because the Modern Drummer Festivals were, at least from her perspective, worse than Rush concerts.  Imagine it, the Coffee House got all abuzz when two women showed up on a thread about "Women" … these things were even more extreme.
 
In any event, she left for a while to wander the halls or something and when she got back ,Ginger Baker happened to be in the middle of his performance / solo.  My wife looked at me and with all sincerity asked … “who is the homeless guy on stage?”

Good point, maybe he was expecting David CovertuneCoverdale to come out and help him.
