The more I realize that I've hardly used any of the ST2.5 variants the more I realize that I don't need ST3.

I'm seriously considering going through all projects bouncing all ST2.5 track to audio, deleting ST2.5 (or any of the variants) and then uninstalling.

Amplitube 3 and ARC 2 I lurves and will continue to use.

+1...and T-Racks too...I love my IK stuff...but really...how much "guff" should we take?

I think that a CLEAR message NEEDS to sent to IK..that if you don't support your customers...
DON'T EXPECT THEM TO SUPPORT YOU!!!

THAT is the ONLY way things will ever change...otherwise..they'll just do whatever they want,
and keep snubbing their nose at those of us who LITERALLY made the company.

I used to be into T-Racks and I'll keep them active.

I'll take no more "guff" on ST3. That's final.

As a guy who runs a software company, I really get their attempt to be unique in a licensing model and to try new products. I feel for them in a lot of ways, because it seems overall people LIKE IK products, but on every forum, when the topic comes up, it quickly changes to a discussion of their web site, the licensing mechanism, their jam points - everything EXCEPT their products. I prefer Waves SSL comp on my master bus, but actually prefer the IK SSL bus on my drums - great product. When I recently went to buy their Echoplex plugin, I found it a muddled and confusing product.

I'd like to see them succeed as a company, and I think their challenge is everything EXCEPT the quality of their products. That's a shame, but fixable should they choose to do so...

Getting a message across is like learning a song...you have to hear it over
and over again before it sinks in....IJS

Me, I'm getting closer and closer to dumping everything IK.

In recent times, the ONLY things 'IK' that I've loaded into a project were the metering, and a couple of TRacks to try out - final compression.

Unfortunately (for IK), those products are OK, but because of all the HOT Air and LACK of action in updating the IK products that WERE (past tence) once important to me, I feel I've been totally put off to the point of no return.

It's ridiculous, I load the IK metering and compressor, then spending all my time thinking about what other (non-IK) product I could use instead to achieve the result I want.

And before long, I pull everything except maybe the metering - and then that too.

Sure I'll take a look at st3 to see what it is, but I'm really thinking I'll most likely be an "Ex-IK-Customer" before very long.

Honestly can't see me loading any of their stuff when I do my next DAW upgrade.

Cheers - Cliff

+1 Cliff...

If iK doesn't pull a rabbit out of their arse....I won't be upgrading anything that I own.
I'll use what I've paid for...but no upgrades.  As good as some of the things are, there
are alot of (and better) alternatives.
