My Uverse went out on Friday and so we've been without our land line, cable tv and internet access since.  Hopefully they can fix it today...but who knows??  It's been interesting.  While our cell phones still worked and I did check in, sort of, on the forum twice, I couldn't ever make myself actually try to use the phone to view or interact with any sort of media.  Luckily our TV and our old DVD player allowed us to watch some movies and such and I did get to practice my guitar a lot.  It also showed me how dependent on my internet I've become...as in like a heroin addict.  I'm back at the office this morning where things are....er....normal.  Hopefully, when I get home this evening everything will be back on and I can once again sink into my plugged in Jabba The Hut like existence.

Thank goodness for acoustic guitars and spoons.

I have heard that for people really hooked, when you unplug them from the matrix they flop around like a catfish recently caught  and thrown on the shore. That's only the first stage of the withdrawal. I wouldn't want to scare anyone with the rest.

Our internet was down for 4 weeks last year. After the going-crazy-cold-turkey period of about 3 days, I actually didn't miss it at all, and I got loads done around the house. Took the laptop to the local library a couple of times to use their wi-fi, but after checking emails and stuff, I couldn't actually think of anything really important I had to do. It's just habit..like now..

Reminds me of the Hurricane Sandy blackout. Almost a week of no power for me. I ended up quite enjoying it, but I cannot describe the feeling when the power came back on and I was sat in front of Sonar with all the lights on.

When the power was out you should have run SONAR by candle light.

Yeah but it was cold and my hands were too numb to wind up the ProChannel.

I honestly think the last board game I played was around 1993 or so, and it was probably Talisman. I was never into fantasy stuff but that was a game I could really get into. Great times!
