Just got a NAMM promo email thingy from Sweetwater linking to all the new stuff at NAMM.  Nary a mention of IKMultimedia or ST3.  Nada.  Zilch.  Imagine that.

GUI - looks a lot cleaner and easier on the eyes and included effects was nice idea.

Big question will be the upgrade prices?

Also need to hear more of the content.

In the NAMM vid:

"It'll be coming out in this first quarter"

then later

"Sampletank 3 is HEEEERE!!!"

Sooooooooo I asks, which is it?

The GUI looks nice to me but I have to say, I'm a little underwhelmed by the videos. Still, looking forward to it.

"Native 64-bit Compatibility!"

What they don't say is there is no 32-bit compatibility.

It's kind of like my local classic rock radio station that brags "40 minutes of nonstop rock!". What they should say is "20 minutes of nonstop commercials!".

But I guess as long as there's an iOS version, all bases have been covered.

This whole ST3 is REALLY getting soooooooooooo MEH for me.

For a noob to IK this is probably a great buy and value, IMHO.

Looks nice. That's real clever of them to make it 64 bit only limiting their potential customers. Please somebody wake me when I can pick it up for under $100 like I did ST 2.5

I hereby predict that when it's released that all previous owners of ST2 will get a "special introductory" offer (lasting, let's say, a month) of $99 semolians.  Which, of course, considering the past history is too much.  But we'll jump on it anyway.  Or will we?

PS: Looks OK...but hardly groundbreaking.
