Hi Guys

I feel like I am losing my mind here with a few thing.

My Basic session set up when I load usually starts with me opening the Normal template then maximising the track console view by dragging up this will then let me swap between Track and console view by clicking the Track or Console buttons on the VS-700c

If I maximise the Prv window then I can not go back to track or console without hitting close

When I go back to Prv I have to max the window again ( I don't have to but I like the Prv in full screen view )

Any idea what I can do to solve this ? I remember being able to jump between Track console and PRV before and have PRV left as a maxed window.

Last thing I have noticed is that my VS-700c is triggering the notes in PRV and I cant figure out why I didn't notice it doing it before and since putting X2 on my system this is the first I have noticed all this.

Hope someone can shed some light on this for me :)

About the switching: I have the same problem since day one of X1. I came to the conclusion, that my old 8.5 projects "work as planned" whereas in any new X1 project switching between maximized (or set to a certain size) multidock-windows via the buttons (without closing and stuff) did NOT work.

Therefor I still work with templates originally started in 8.5.

There is only one minor bug, where switching does not work until I hit console at least once. E.g. I'm in PRV and want to go to TRACKS ... does not work. First CONSOLE then TRACKS ... works. After that, every view works as planned.

Could you test this with old projects? (in X1 and X2)

Hi Grent thanks for the reply.

I don't have any old unfinished 8.5 projects to test with.
I noticed in X1 the switching would have to be in a sequence ( but I always for get what )

I don't remember ever not being able to come out of PRV at all with out hitting close.

Are you finding the same as me with X2 ?

Still no X2 here.

Wow, didn't know that. Have to try it out (once again ...).

If we all together could get to the bottom of this issue, we might be able to post it in Ryan's thread to get attention. Switching between views is absolutely essential and should work flawlessly.

For me it (almost) does - but only in X1 with 8.5 projects/templates. (even when then heavily edited [or even completely blanked] and saved in X1)

Switching between views is not going well here for me at all.

Any idea why why VS-700c is triggering the prv notes ? I must have something set wrong somewhere but my mind is drawing a blank

Seems as if it's set as a midi input rather than control surface. You could try to check the midi device options (surface, in-port, out-port, ...). Maybe it's a X2 specific bug, though.

I dont think its X2 Specific I think I just need to change something haha. What do you have your Midi Device set to for the VS-700c ? I don't remember changing mine so maybe that's it

If you're triggering notes then you've almost certainly got your IN and OUT ports set wrong in Preferences > MIDI > Control Surfaces.

Also make sure that "IO (VS700)" is *not* checked in both the inputs and outputs boxes is Preferences > MIDI > Devices. Note this is not the same as "IO MIDI (VS700)", which can be checked.

Thanks John I will double check the In and out ports.

I know i don't have IO VS700 selected so I will check and see whats going on.

Are you having any issues with the Track / Console and PRV buttons ?
