Craig I haven't had crashes, never really had any as a show stopper issue with Sonar (from memory) because I could always thankfully put together stable hardware.
I'm really sure Cake are aware of that doesn't work with the 700C coz it's been reported over and over and those things, I'm guessing, that don't work due to whatever reason, they can't simply fix... or else we wouldn't be having this conversation because what company in their right mind would knowingly release something that below par? The issues are simply integration issues with the controller...buttons no longer do what they used for ordinary functions in essence.
Cake's intentions I'm sure are good, their history proves that. It would be great to have an official statement on their (or/and Roland's) future support for our beloved 700 gear so we can get on with things either way instead of 'hoping' for a good result.
I'm happy to submit a report though and let you know how the response goes along with others who already have done this but bear in mind that we already have statement(s) from Cake about this stuff in this forum and the priorities are clear... there is none.
I do appreciate your positive perspective and it's time I believe to step away for a while and look over the horizon and see what the view holds perhaps.
