I, personally, think it will be GREAT to get all the effects that I already
paid good money for AGAIN, and PAY MORE FOR THEM!!!

maybe and extra upgrade discount if own Amplitube, and another estra discount if you own T-racks??

As if that matters in today's economy. Today $299 is a boatload of money for most us I can tell you that.

  • 67 effect plug-ins including Pedalboard, which includes 35 stompboxes
  • 18 software instrument plug-ins
  • Custom instrument tuning system including 97 fixed tuning presets, equal-tempered, custom, and Hermode tuning
  • 17 instrument and effect plug-ins with true surround support
  • 1548 Patches for Audio, Auxiliary, Software Instrument, and Output tracks
  • 3647 Apple Loops covering electronic genres: Hip Hop, Electro House, Dubstep, Modern R&B, Tech House, Deep House, and Chillwave
  • 848 EXS24 Sampler instruments
  • 3655 plug-in settings for 85 plug-ins
  • 30 Ultrabeat electronic drum kits with 750 unique drum sounds
  • 666 reverb spaces and warped effects for Space Designer
  • 32 groove patterns for Arpeggiator MIDI plug-in

That's a fraction of what you get for $199 when you buy Logic - a little 35 GB of content, for the biggest part, eminently usable, btw... From that perspective, it seems a bit ridiculous to spend hundreds of dollars on a plug-in or a bread and butter sample library...

I might grab the free version to play the old ST libraries which I haven't converted if they have one.

Sorry Rain....no FREE version this time...it's pay or stay away....

Oh well.

I  hadn't used them in a while due to an issue with loading time increasing every time I changed a patch, and authorization issues every time I moved the content around - which wouldn't have been that bad if the authorization manager worked correctly and all the time.

I'd already re-sampled a few of my most used patches in EXS-24 format. I'll find myself a mellotron library and move on.

Adieu, IK. :)

I guess I will see what the upgrade price is, but I admit I am less than excited.  Even the regular Komplete is sounding like more and more of a bargain in comparison.

There is not even a comparison...if you get Komplete on sale....even 20% off (399) grab it...
There's a HOLLATTA goodness in Komplete....

I have no intention of waiting another 11 years for the next version to show up after 4000 new
iCrapps....

That's a bit of interesting nostalgia. I had an Apple IIE that I absolutely loved. There were so many 3rd party add-ons available it was crazy. There use to be a monthly magazine called BYTE that looked like a Sears Catalog on steroids that was full of add-ons for the apple IIE. It was the hobbyist/experimenters dream machine.

Then Apple came out with LISA that not many could afford and they did not sell well. Then the first MAC arrived and it was a Closed system. That ended my Apple relationship...
