I've really got too much stuff 600GB of softsynths, I don't need anymore...I don't even want anymore!
Oh, yeah. I really didn't need any of that extra stuff (as I mentioned a few times and got dogpiled over a couple times) but X2 was driving me insane with the constant disruptions and wackiness. Like I said the DAW itself is just a lot smoother so far which is what I needed. I already had all the top synths because of the X1 Suite and although Addictive Drums is very nice (I've been using it on my current project just to try it out) I own BFD Eco which I prefer (but IDK... AD is giving it a run for it's money).
As far as the effects... well I'm really happy with the PC stuff and kind of scoffed at the Nomad stuff but I've played with a few of those too and darned if I don't like them. It has some specific models that I had seen in a lot of tuts (obviously the higher end versions but they still operate the same) and wanted to try out. Like the Pultec style EQ. That's not the type of thing I'd really go out of my way to pay for at the moment but getting those alternate effects is quite nice.
Meh... I was pretty ticked off for a while but I gotta say, I'm feeling like Cake made good on this and really the DAW itself is where it should be which is all I truly cared about.
Hopefully that doesn't come across fanboi-ish because things really were getting dicey there for a while and I was ready to jump ship in a major way. Fortunately that doesn't seem necessary now.
You guys are more seasoned than I am though so you don't need my opinions. Just bored and blathering.
