I was reading of some luthiers discussing stuff and the comment was made
about a very good book.

I had told you recently that I didn't have or know of any good books...I unintentionally
told you wrong.
I do own this book. Here is the authors site.

I'm at work and don't remember enough about it to offer my evaluation of it but
there are sure a lot of people that think it is as good as it gets.
Hope this is of some help to you.

This is the same book I mentioned, but I wasn't entirely sure about it.

I didn't order it yet but I will. It comes with a lot of good recommendations, including yours.

Written by a Brit which is probably not a problem until we get to where he gets his materials and maybe how he words certain things. I can deal with metric if this is what he uses here.

From the descriptions of customers who bought the book, it seem as if the ones on this side of the pond have some issues with how certain things are explained. Normally you wouldn't think that there would be such a divide. I mean, we speak the same tounge basically. I guess I won't really know until I buy it. From what I gather it isn't bad enough to prevent the book from being profitable to the potential builder. Thanks for the heads up.
