We used to have a sound guy back in the day that told us he'd just had a great Chinese dinner that included s-h-i-t-ache mushrooms.  I still can't think of them any other way.

I heard someone ask for them in a restaurant like that once. Never eaten them and I could never eat one now.

Do yourself a favor and don't eat any genus Psilocybin mushrooms for awhile.  Otherwise you'll find yourself staring at your rash and freaking out.

HTH.

Yeah, I was thunkin' that he really wanted to have a nice trip without the kids! Or us, for that matter!

(Sidebar:) Actually that didn't happen to me. I spent my time reading a couple of books and listening to Phaedra, and A Tab in the Ocean, and Selling England by the Pound and Space Ritual ... on the same trip ... and for the first time hearing those albums, it was massively awesome! I don't even remember eating anything but the music was awesome.

The foldout album cover full of stuff in the original Space Ritual was worth the trip all by itself! I didn't even need Michael Moorcock!

Phaedra and Rubycon were definitely two favorites to have on.  All music was setup ahead of time otherwise you spend an hour just looking at the disk before putting it into the CD player upside down and wandering off.

If you do you run the risk of discovering  left handed frying pans!  Turns out I was all wrong about the left handed frying pans and I don't know why

About 15 years ago I was back home and went to see an old friend, he had some "herb" he had been saving. Whew... a few "tokes" and I was trying to figure out which end of the cable to plug into my guitar... really. I can believe a left handed frying pan. That sounds about right. LOL!

There shouldn't be all that much surprising about a bad reaction to eating something named

shiitake.
