That's what I'm afraid of ;) but at least there are very reasonable 3rd party content for the times when G.A.S. prices are just too high

In 2014?  nothing I hope.....well I guess I already broke that with a purchase.

Jan 2, 2014 bought Ableton Live 9 Suite upgrade.

Waiting on my deliveries of my xmas hardware purchases.
Emu Proteus 2
Roland Fantom XR
Roland D550

My MOTU Mach 3 should show up today.

my SSD 120gb OS drive is screaming and getting full.  Might have to pull the trigger and upgrade hard drives, maybe throw 32gb ram into the box.

but that's it, no more purchases for 2014, I gotta learn all this crap.  yep, no purchases......

there might be Spectronsonics doing something this year, Camel Audio might release Alchemy 2, there is IK Sampletank 3........yep NO NEW Purchases.  that's it.

I have GAS, I admit it  <<hangs head in shame>>

I bought the Komplete 9 update last month. I haven't bothered to install it yet.

All I really wanted was the latest Kontakt playback engine and to take a look see at Battery 4, but it can wait till I'm really bored with my new microphones.

Mike,
I just rolled back to Kontakt 5.2 from 5.3.
I can't confirm it but I'm having problems with it releasing samples from memory.
I hear there might be issues with 5.3 using PT too.

I'd like to find a way to purchase directly from Fender Japan (does anyone on the forum live in Japan?) and get a new 57 or 58 dead solid perfect reissue of an Olympic White Strat.  Yum.

As to plugins...Im actually so well covered they're going to have to come up with something uber-game-changing to hook me.  I hardly bought anything during the entire Black Friday through New Years Day sales.  Imagine that!!

Libraries...anything interesting, usable and not overly expensive.

well I had considered buying a Gibson hummingbird Pro but was delighted to get it as a Christmas present a few days before the holiday! At any rate I might have to shell out 25 bucks for the stupid tutorials for the stupid izotone bundle which I purchased and has just about useless documentation.

it is strange however at my age when I receive any of the big fat musical gear catalogs.... As a kid I would spend hours going through them, usually had one by the toilet. Now it's rare I ever see anything I want. Luckily the guys at cakewalk can usually figure out some sort of cool junk to add to sonar so I buy that every year...

Thanks for the heads up!

I am another of those in the camp of needing to learn to use what I already have.  For me, probably just K10, maybe a Sonar update, and a few Hide-a-sun libraries.

Thinking of NIs K9U..... since I skipped it, having already purchased the unique parts during 2012-2013 to add to K8U, K10U might just be the high ticket item for me this year.

Since my son-in-law works for Line 6 there may be a doo-dad or two from them or Yamaha I might consider.

Like others have said, I've got enough tools to keep me busy learning until Star Date 3164.2 noamimsayin?
