Just throwing it out there, I never understood why someone would use Note Probability in say a step sequencer.
Musically it does not seem to make sense, to let a computer or an arp make a decision for you if it will play or not.  I can understand "random" for patterns much more than I can understand Note Probability.

Every time I ever used it, it didn't feel right.   Anyone have any good examples of it in use?

Seems to me Note Probability pretty much rules the pop music landscape these days. Stop any Top 40 or Country song at any point and see if you can't predict what the next note will be.
 
It's what audiences seem to want. When was the last time you were surprised by a plot twist in a movie? Somewhere, there's a Plot Probability handbook for screenwriters.

LOL. That's why I stopped watching movies. I haven't seen one that truly surprised me since Sixth Sense.

Im talking PROBABILTY - like in the step sequencer.  why would you sometimes not want a certain note at random.

Beware of the "probability" function... let me explain... This feature only has application within the SS itself, which can be a nicety for the "real feel" of a drummer who takes to ghost notes during play...
 
However, this feature disappears as soon as that data is moved out of the SS in any way... essentially "capturing" a random performance (same as if you recorded it live). The performance is a newly generated "version" and may not mirror the last you played in the SS either.
 
So take that functionality with a grain of salt... in reality, once a performance is captured (even live), it is what it is, and what it will be remembered as. It can be a useful tool, but its "boundaries" are limited, and I typically end up editing after export (from the SS) anyway. I would not leave that enabled for a "master bounce."
