Yes, but it is also hardware in my twisted mind.....as opposed to software. I guess I could have been more specific and called it software amp sim.

While all of us are very happy for you Guitarpima, ol pal (honest)...before you go all gushy praising IK for your "free" stuff you might well remember that it was mostly due to other folks raising general hell with IK which setup your fortunate circumstance. I'm not sure I'd be thanking IK at all as they were most certainly "forced" into offering you this largess. Ol Peter is probably still fuming that he had to make good on his ill conceived promise and still knows that he failed pretty miserably in meeting his arbitrarily set and self evidently pitiful release timetable. By all means enjoy your new stuff. But please remember it was other forums members (along with your own self) that made it happen. And not the good natured, truthful, smart and customer-centric policies of IK. Which do not exist...as far as the evidence we have to date has shown.

No matter what they say...

I have no interest in using products from a Company that treats it's customers the way 
that IK has treated those of us who invested with SampleTank.  And the minute they
realize that they were WRONG about the release date, they backpedal and say "Oh, it was ONLY
to Guitarpima"  (who I"m happy for btw)  

I will be "offing" everything IK that I own in the very near future.  (not selling - that would benefit them,
just not using).  You boys can "b u t t - l i c k" them all you want.

It amazes me how "programmed" we are...IK completely "screws" the SampleTank users...,
and you ALL applaud that they, after 10 years, are bringing out a new version. (4 years since 
the last update).

Same with Cake...they completely abandoned X2a, remained silent and in-abstentia for almost a YEAR,
then forced us to PAY for fixes that never materialized with X2a, AND raised the price to also force us to
pay for a bunch of 3rd party crap that most of us didn't need anyways. And EVERYONE APPLAUDS AND
SINGS PRAISES! (As far as Cake goes, if that EVER happens again I'm OUT)

I don't care how good your product is.  If you treat me the way that IK has treated the ST users
for these past years, you don't deserve ANYTHING.

This is WHY these companies do these things with reckless disregard as to how the customer has been 
treated.  They KNOW that you will BUY BUY BUY!!!  So they'll go right on breaking out the lube and
putting it to you.  No dinner and no movie...and YOU pay THEM for it!

The only leverage that we, as the consumer, have with a large Corporation, is to NOT BUY
their product.  THAT is the only way that things will change.  THAT is the ONLY way they'll
take notice and listen.  And, even then, they may not.

The rest of you can buy into what they're selling...I'm not...not again.
As the saying goes "Fool me once, shame on you...Fool me twice...shame on me"
Don't be surprised if you wait another 10 years for the next version of ST.
Remember, PC's are soooo yesterday....iCrap is the future...so where will their focus be?

And you can bet that the PC products in general will soon get the same treatment that ST did.
