I'm in awe of anyone who steers boats in seas like this for a living....
And the camera work is beautiful too. Worth watching full screen.

Yikes!  I think they need a bigger boat.

I bet it's even more fun at night!  (In a storm.)

I've actually been on a ship (a rather large cruise ship actually) in seas like that.  It was pretty unreal with at least three forks of lightning showing through each porthole in the beginning and an estimated 80 of us that weren't seasick out of over 1,000 (passengers AND crew).  This was going through the Grecian Islands in '81.  Oh, there's a lot more stories about this one!

How on earth is that filmed in that high quality? Unbelievable. Even though the last 15 seconds, at least, most likely include digital manipulation. Impressive.

I was thinking the same thing...ever try to shoot video while you're walking? They must have been using a Steadicam rig with the camera operator strapped down.

The Harbor Incident: Monks of Doom - MERIDIAN album

Into the vigil from hiding
His exile was now almost up
Pockets were teeming with spare change
And his mind was eating it up

He'd savored the peace that he'd had, but
Now he scans the horizon
Waiting for this storm to pass
Always waiting in silence
Just biding his time

And happened on a young lady
Up from the depths of despair
She spoke with a twist on her tongue
And a marvelous look in her eye

She's said "think before the next time
You take yourself out onto the sea
And go dancing with that grand old man
Sometimes he plays very gently
But he's just biding his time"

Into the harbor
Came once a clipper ship
Sails torn and listing severe
When tied at it's slip
The rats jumped ship
As if they had something to fear

The captain it seems, was buried at sea
His madess had taken it's toll
The crew headed into the bars of the town
To drink away all of their cares
They had waited for this day for years

One tiny bottle that floats on the sea
Serves as a warning for those who might dream
For those who pursue their obsessions
The wind carries in it the screams
Of the journeyman lost on the ocean

Teased by a beauty who rose from the waves
A rebirth, a watery grave
Down in the depths she savors her prize
She's just biding her time.

That is a really good video... it also reminds me of "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald". Amazing... now I want to watch the other videos that popped up on YT after this one ended. Thanks for posting it!

I'm not a fan of the open sea. One of my worst nightmares is being alone in a little boat at night in that kind of ocean. Weirdly enough I would probably have the urge to get under the water where it's less wavy, hopefully there would be some kind of cool Spongebob Squarepants-esque community that would take me in.
