Hi guys, probably a dumb question.  I downloaded Amplitube 3 and installed it on my computer.  How do I get it into my Cakewalk plugin manager now?

Thanks, Keith

Keith,
Where did the install put your AmpliTube3.dll?
Add that location to the "scan" path in "Plug-In Manager" in Sonar,
or move it to "Program Files\Cakewalk\vstplugins"

There is a caveat here.
What is your OS, if x64 are you running Sonar as x32 in x64 OS?

The devil is in the details...

Do a plug-in scan. The folder that the .dll (the plug-in) is in has to be listed in the folders that Sonar scans. When you installed it, it would have had a default location and also the option to choose your own. You should take note when you install it where exactly you are installing the .dll (the plug-in).

Whenever you install a new plug-in you have to run a scan. It's not bad practice to keep Cakewalk stuff in one folder and 3rd party stuff in another folder. Get organised and into a good habit of putting things in the correct folders and it becomes second nature.

Glad you got it working. How are you liking AmpliTube? Let me know if you have any more questions on it.

I know this is an old thread, but I'm having a similar problem... I've managed to get Amplitube 3 into my list of plugins, but whenever I try and add it to an FX bin on any channel, I am told that it hasn't been installed correctly. I did try re-installing it, but the problem persists. Oddly, when I run it on its own, it works fine. How can I get it to work? (Maybe this is because I'm using the free version that comes with the Custom Shop thing?)

Double-post, sorry.

I don't remember there being an option to do that (whereas with Sonar there definitely was)...
