Indeed good to know.
I have sold a couple of things earlier this year but really always felt hesitant. Most of the replies I've received I simply ignored. There are certain red flags for which I could be accused of being prejudiced but which lead me to simply ignore certain buyers. The fact is that I didn't need money that badly to take any risk. The slightest bad feeling = no deal.
Last time I wanted to visit CL, I googled it and the first thing that came up was a article about a guy who'd been shot in Carolina IIRC after meeting two guys who wanted to buy his car or something.
The thing is that, in this case, being a big strong guy probably works
against you because if they really want your money, they know they have to opt for a much more radical solution. You can't expect a loyal fight from a bunch of scums and parasites like that. A little old lady might actually have a better chance.
Still, - the man's alive and well, and he has a brand new guitar - so congrats on the SG Randy. :)
