My original measurements are all available in the drop down menu.
They still work minus some of the newer features.

Hmmmm. I see a copy of my mackies.arc file from "My Documents\ARC System\Filters" in "My Documents\ARC System 2\Measurements".

But in ARC 2 it is not in my drop down list.

Here are the results of my 14 position measurement of my Mackie 824s.

I followed the "Project Studio" example in the manual. If the results (white line) are correct I'm a happy camper.

When my ears are fresh I'll compare ARC to ARC2 but here is what ARC came up with when I measured 20 positions (way back when).

Since then I've made some small changes in the room I can only imagine that is why the before lines are not exact, that and ARC2s 48KHz vs. ARCs 44.1KHz measurement. FWFW, ARC 1 was measured with my Tascam FW-1884 interface vs. ARC2 was measured with my RME Fireface UFX. Maybe that makes a slight difference?

At first listen to a "known" project ARC 2 sounds better/cleaner on the bass.

I plan to do a more detailed test with my projects and some known "pro" material.

I just read this at GS concerning JamPoints:

"Since the scenario was a little odd where you'd have to wait to use your JamPoints to get a better deal, we've added the ability to use JamPoints on the upgrade to defer 25% of the total. So you can now put up to 25% equivalent JamPoints into the cart and reduce the upgrade price.

Thank you for reporting this and I apologize for any inconvenience. In the case where you've already purchased, if you could please contact us and we'll have support and order processing work with you to get it resolved."

This is great news.  Just last month time took its toil on over half my jampoints because they expired!  That policy of expiration absolutely stinks!!!!!  I have been buying amps and cabs in the custom shop, and have bought the entire IKM pro studio line.  I have been hoping and waiting for IKM to release this ARC2 upgrade and the long promised and never arriving ST3 before I lost my jampoints, but alas most of my jampoints just expired last month.  How can you tell if they are expired you might ask?  Well they are now grayed out now and when you go to purchase the total available jampoints is now reduced (drastically in my case).  At least I still had some left and I can use 25 of the remaining for this Arc2 Upgrade.

So thanks Carl for this post.

Again, the expiration of our jampoints is a real pain.  I know, I am venting again!

I just got the email that my CC was credited $25 from my jam points.

Too cool. $74 upgrade.

See measurement results above.

After contacting IK's support a few hours ago I just received a refund for $25.00 towards the purchase of the upgrade.

Great job IK, appreciate the refund & added reduction.

Bapu, looking at your graphs i'm encouraged that Arc2 will be a significant improvement, because your Arc1 graphs look very similar to mine and Arc2 improved nicely on your correction. I've still got quite a null around 90 to 150ish even with some treatment. Cool, i've been looking forward to arc2.

I too received the $25 credit from jam points for the upgrade. Thanks for the info Carl. Thanks to IK for the kind gesture.

I haven't been able to do anything except read the manual so far due to severe storms here.

I had made a measurement template that was placed on the floor to take 32 measurements for arc 1. From what I read in the manual it looks like 16 measurements are the max you can take, using arc 2, for any one setting.

Can anyone confirm that 16 is the max in arc 2? If so, I need to start making another template as it worked out very well before.

Kind regards,
Rick

Does make one wonder. If not for the audible results one could imagine the "algorithm" is nothing more that a graphics statement. LOL!!!!
