I too received the $25 credit from jam points for the upgrade. Thanks for the info Carl. Thanks to IK for the kind gesture.

I haven't been able to do anything except read the manual so far due to severe storms here.

I had made a measurement template that was placed on the floor to take 32 measurements for arc 1. From what I read in the manual it looks like 16 measurements are the max you can take, using arc 2, for any one setting.

Can anyone confirm that 16 is the max in arc 2? If so, I need to start making another template as it worked out very well before.

Kind regards,
Rick

Rick,

Same thing here with the storms yesterday. My Furman voltmeter was down to 109 so I had my computer off all day.

I just did my first set of measurements & there's only 16 points possible.
My template is 30 & so I just varied them.

Also I forgot, the last measurement needs to be middle of left & right ( I don't necessarily mean listening 'center') correct?

Hi Carl,

Thanks for the confirm on the 16 max points.

I was not aware that the last measurement needed to be in the middle of left/right. Did you read that in the manual or just get it off of the layout diagrams?

On the new template, I just drew up, I put 14 in the middle front like on their project studio layout suggestion but I added a 15 just below the 4 but over to the left towards the 8. Did the same thing with the 16 just below the 5 but over to the right towards the 9.

Guess I can try it both ways to see if it makes any difference. Wish I knew how to insert a .jpg on here directly from my laptop and I would post a dimensional diagram of my template layout...

Kind regards,
Rick

I don't have the manual in front of me but IIRC when your first point is middle / center (mono) the last even numbered measurement needs to be somewhere center point (mono) too.

Otherwise if you ended with say a left point measure (#16) there wouldn't be a right measurement for the last pair of measurements to even out the calculation.

Anyways that's how I've been doing it!

Yup.

Thanks for the info guys. I'll just take the 14 measurements similar to the IK project studio layout and see how it goes. At my age, I consider it a good day when I learn something new.

Thanks again,
Rick

Too cool, I just bought the upgrade and noticed that I bought and registered the old version exactly 2 years ago today!

Has anyone exported a mix and listened to it elsewhere? How's the translation, etc? Is it better than arc1? Thanks.

Haven't done that yet but it should be 1 better, shouldn't it?

I would be more than happy to oblige (comment on audible differences) any and all that post a before/after mix with Arc2. I don't use this software but am curious about it.
