If that is the case, there is no discount at all because as a new customer you can buy Drumcore 3 for $199 and get a free upgrade and drummer pack.
they say

after verification from support. You will receive information about how to get your free DrummerPack download or DVD from this list ($69 value) within 3 days. DVD shipping rates may apply. US shipping only. The verified user will be given the DrumCore 4 Upgrade download for free when it launches.

So if you use the Kitcore upgrade will you be a verified user? - Its well confusing!

And then there is this:

Special Offer: Free DrumCore 4 Update and a Free DrummerPack with DrumCore 3:
Get DrumCore 4 for free ($99 value) and DrummerPack for free ($69 value) when you purchase DrumCore 3 or DrumCore 3 Deluxe from Sonoma or an authorized dealer for a limited time. Restrictions apply.*

So if I take my coupon I'll be getting it for $100.  Very confusing.

Here their response:

In order to pre-order DrumCore 4 you need to have DrumCore 3 first. So you would need to upgrade from KitCore Deluxe to DrumCore 3 using the $100 coupon making DrumCore 3 $99. Then you can upgrade to DrumCore 4 for $99 plus a free DrummerPack.

Thanks,

Josh

So it's $200.

Man, that sucks. I'm running Windows 7 64bit using jBridge 1.5, and my Kitcore has been rock solid in X1 and X3!

bummer that they are indeed charging $200.  You could just wait until DC4 is released then and get the update (minus the free expansion pack.)

I got another email from them:

"...We are talking about release a DrumCore Lite version but pricing and details have not been finalized."

There's hope!

At $200 - count me out. We still don't really know much about DC 4 and if I really want more drums $ 200 will buy significant expansions for my BFD and Superior Drummer.

As Leadfoot is having some sucess with Kitcore and Jbridge I may give it another try, I did not install it on my new DAW.

What's the bet Sampletank 3 will weigh in at a similar price point because of the new content. I predict a riot.

Like Glyn $200 is far too much - and also like Glyn I did not install Kitcore on my new machine so I might try it and see what happens - shall report back re usability
With regards to Drumcore Lite I suppose they might be proffering this as a Kitcore replacement - we shall see

I hope you guys have good luck trying Kitcore again. I tried jBridge as a last resort, because Kitcore was worthless using Cakewalk's bitbridge. As soon as I installed jBridge, Kitcore was perfect. Good luck!
