Sorry ... I haven't had taste for "pop musick" since 1972! Most of it is boring! But I'm not sure that many folks here know what that means!

Maybe when you lost the taste it took with it the ability to enjoy a lot of great, exciting music that was recorded after 1972.
I think so because it's no secret that there has been a lot of music recorded since that is far from boring and obviously you have missed it. That's unfortunate because I know you really enjoy the arts.

Of course I've missed a lot of it too but it's of my choice...not that I've lost "taste".

And I'm the one that says that time never was when music never was!

And have the biggest collection of progressive, experimental and music you ever heard or saw ... you already know that.

Reminds me of things like XTC ... and people saying ... stupid band, they can't even play a note! But the same person had Sex Pistols and thought they were God! And I never lost track of Peter Hammill, for example, or Roy Harper. Or Tangerine Dream is washing machine music for those that are ear blocked with ****!

i think it's very important to support working musicians, i try & buy as directly from the artist or label as possible, and go to gigs; interestingly the euros childs album is available as a free (or donation) download in full wav format from his website http://euroschilds.co.uk/ , the vinyl is 3 sides of 2 disks in a gatefold... i buy about 5 new (ie, not reissue) albums a month maybe...

Funnily enough I'm re-reading 'Chalkhills & Children', the XTC biography at the moment. I'm not sure who was calling them a 'stupid band', because I've just reached the part where 3 record companies were fighting each other to sign them.

Strangely, Andy Partridge borrowing my Marshall stack for a gig at Swindon' Brunel Rooms didn't make it into the book...luckily neither did the tale of our band deciding it would be 'OK' to use their gear one afternoon which was all set up in Tudor Studios when they were rehearsing the English Settlement tour..they weren't happy bunnies..
